Never say never!

Hello, My lovely blog chums.....Hope you're having a really good weekend. Ok, so we can safely say that the weather is completely pants.....having done the food shopping yesterday, the plan is to whizz through the housework in the morning and then enjoy an afternoon of crafting!

Anyway, on to today's card, and my post title really sums it up. So it popped up in my news feed that this week's Less is More challenge, has a Cute theme......which I couldn't resist, but then I noticed that it is one layer card week - which I never usually do, but thought, why not give it a bash. Just to stretch myself even further I decided to use Kraft as my card base, instead of white. I have never stamped and coloured on Kraft before but I was actually pretty happy with the way it turned out. I would often read other people's blogs and they might say that they were using a stamp or a die or whatever that they'd forgotten they owned and I always thought I would NEVER do that, but I must 'fess up that is exactly what happened with this adorable stamp which I was happily reunited with when I was rummaging through my stamps. Yes, I did kick myself, lol! The little lovely in question is Albie the rabbit from sugar nellie. I used Trimcraft First Edition markers to colour and completed my card with enamel dots from MME

Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2 #128

Hello my lovely blog chums, hope your having a great week. I do hope that you've not be troubled with the wintry weather that we've encountered this week.

It is time for a new challenge with

My DT card based on this fab sketch

Our lovely sponsors for this challenge are

and they are offering a gift certificate for the lucky winner.

They also, very kindly, provided the team with some gorgeous images to use......I couldn't resist
Woofie Birthday
I had originally planned to print out and colour, but thought the pre-coloured  image was so bright and cheerful looking that I went for that one instead.
The papers are from a  Papermania stack that has been about for some time now. I am always happy to have an opportunity to use gingham ribbon too.

If you're looking for a sketch to kick off the New Year mojo, why not have a go at this one.

I mentioned, a couple of posts ago, that we had taken advantage of the Get Into London Theatre promotion, and on Wednesday night we went to see
The Lion King

About 5 minutes after this selfie was taken, My happy little face had years rolling down it, as I got caught up in the moment of the beginning of the show! The music and the way that they have created the animals was absolutely stunning, and I would recommend this to you all.....in fact, I wanna go again and take you all with me!!!!!

I'll tell you when, my lovely blog chums......when this is the theme for the next

Our lovely sponsors are our good friends at

Our Prize for ONE lucky winner is

2 Individual Digi images OR 2 Card Topper Kits
OR one of each (no sets or sentiment sets)
of the winners choice

You may know, from My previous post, that my step-daughter is due to have a C-Section on the 6th February, and this card has been made in anticipation of our new family member.  So I'm sure you will excuse me if my card looks a little unfinished, as there will be a sentiment added in the fullness of time.

I was delighted to have the opportunity to use this adorable image from Pink Gem - Baby's first Christmas. This is coloured with Promarkers and have also used yummy blue dotty card from Limetree crafts.

We hope you will hop on over and join in our challenge......We would love to see you.

In the County

Hope you're having a lovely weekend! Got off to a great start here as last Thursday we were lucky enough to have another theatre trip to London, this time to see "School of Rock". It was absolutely terrific......hadn't even seen the film before, but loved it and would definitely recommend! We actually decided to be very naughty and treat ourselves to a few shows over the next few weeks, taking advantage of a promotion that ran from the beginning of December, where tickets for many of the West end shows are heavily reduced, basically to put bums on seats at the quiet time of the year......so we will also be going to see The Lion King, this week (sooooo excited!!)  and later in  the month we are seeing Les Miserables, which I'm hoping to get through without bawling my eyes out this time!

Megan came back from Uni, to go to the theatre with us and whilst she was home, also reminded me to make a Wedding card and candle for one of her Uni pals, so whilst I was I had a bit of crafting time I decided to crack on with a card using a super cute LOTV stamp that I got last year, but still hadn't got round to using (shame on me 😞) I believe it goes by the name of In the County, and is a little treat to colour. I have used my ProMarkers, as ever. I raided my paper scraps box for both the green gingham and also blue dotty papers. I also used Magnolia fence die, cloud die and sentiment die too.

I have already entered the LOTV January Facebook challenge and I would also like to enter:
passion for promarkers - masculine
brownsugarchallenge - birthdays

Off to bed now, but I will be here with more DT cards this week xx

New beginning

Good Morning Friends, I hope you have had a great week, I know that so many people are feeling full of cough's, colds and lurgy's, at the moment, so if you're reading this not feeling so well then I wish you a speedy recovery.

Anyway, it's time today for a new Crafty friends challenge....and what better way to start the year than with a
New beginning 's theme

I made my DT card with a very special little man in mind.....so special, in fact he hasn't even arrived yet! My step-daughter is due to have a C-Section on the 6th February, and we are all very excited and looking forward to meeting "him". This completely adorable image is s called "baby feet" and was provided by our lovely sponsor

Hello, my lovely blog chums.......Happy New Year!
Hope you have had a fantastic Christmas time. We had a really enjoyable few days; spent some really happy time together as a family, enjoyed some delicious food and was completely spoilt by my hubby and kids with some amazing pressies!  One of which is the tablet that I am using right now, and which I am hoping will make me  much more organised blogger.

So I had set this afternoon aside to get on top of my DT work, but thought it was equally as important that the first card i blogged this year was one that I made just for the jolly old fun of it!

I was lucky enough to win this adorable Sasayaki Glitter image, but this had been the first opportunity to print and colour. Image was cut out with a Spellbinders fancy oval. The blue gingham card is from Limetree crafts and the other paper was in my scrapbox. I didn't ask Santa/hubby for much in the way of craft goodies this year, but he still came up trumps with this gorgeous flower die from Your Next Die and also these lovely MME adhesive dots - both of which came from Dies to Die For.

Anyway, I wish you all well for the year ahead - may it be a happy, healthy and peaceful one for us all.

I would like to enter these challenges:

Enjoy the rest of the weekend xx
